Pulsation Dampeners & Surge Suppressors are designed to remove hydraulic shock and vibration, and, as a result, enhance system performance and fluid flow reliability.
Due to the reciprocating nature of their stroking action, Positive Displacement (PD) pumps are subject to pulsation and hydraulic shock, which has the potential to damage the entire pumping system.
BLACOH's SENTRY Pulsation Dampeners & Surge Suppressors are engineered to remove hydraulic shock in industrial and chemical transfer applications, which enhances both performance and reliability of fluid flow. These dampeners are designed to be placed at the pump's discharge and can be used on piston, plunger, air diaphragm, peristaltic, gear, and diaphragm metering pumps.
SENTRY Benefits
- Up to 99% pulsation and vibration free flow
- Protection of pipes, valves, fittings, meters, and instrumentation from the hazards of pulsations, surges, cavitation, thermal expansion, and water hammer
- Steady flow for dosing, blending or proportioning additives
- Accuracy, longevity, and repeatability of in-line meters
- Uniform application of material in spraying and coating systems
- Reduced product agitation, foaming, splashing and degradation of product
- Liquid energy storage for emergency valve closure and other equipment shutdown
- Lower overall energy cost with continuous flow, rather than start/ stop flow
- Reservoir for make-up fluid
SENTRY Features
- Discharge sizes from 1/8" to 6", custom sizes available
- Simple, reliable design
- Quick installation
- Easy in-line maintenance
- Pressure ranges up to 10,000 psi, with higher pressure ratings on request
- Temperature ranges from -60°F to +400°F
- Bodies in a range of chemically resistant materials
- Bladders for corrosive applications
Pump Pulsation Dampeners
AODDampener improves the performance of your system, reduces water hammer and the common shaking of pipes caused by AODD pumps. This versatile dampener works for multiple applications and fluids, and features:
- 316 Stainless Steel housing
- PFTE back diaphragm
- Fully automatic air control
- Maximum pressure 150 psi
Sanitary Pump Pulsation Dampeners
Sanitary Pulsation Dampeners are manufactured from FDA compliant materials, so they are easy to clean for food or sanitary applications in chemical, industrial, pharmaceutical, or water treatment.
- Stainless steel bodies
- Tri clamp fittings
- Tri-clamp inlets for easy cleaning
- (optional) T-handles and autoclave safe wetted components
- (optional) FDA compliant materials
Pump Inlet Stabilizers
Inlet Stabilizers improve liquid flow to the inlet side of any positive displacement pump, which extends the service life of all inlet system components. The inlet stabilizer:
- Ensures that the chamber fills completely
- Protects pumps from excess stress
- Protects gauges and inlet components from vibration
- Ensures gauge accuracy for inlet side gauges
- Prevents premature component failure
- Prevents cavitation
Pump Pressure Accumulators
Accumulators, designed for the fluid power market, feature single body construction for maximum safety in various high-pressure applications. The most popular design has an internal bladder that separates the stored fluid from a compressed gas charge.
Accumulators are used to:
- Store fluid under pressure as energy to be released on demand
- Increase or supplement pump flow temporarily
- Provide auxiliary power for equipment cycling, valve closure and emergency shutdown
- Maintain system pressure
- Dampen pulsations and vibrations for a smooth fluid flow
- Protect systems from water hammer and hydraulic shock
