Process Skid Fabrication

Carotek offers custom-integrated skid fabrication for mechanical and electrical skid-mounted process systems. We build turn-key units for all industries. Our Piping Design Group engineers each skid using 3D modeling software for shop fabrication drawings, and for our customers to use in their overall process design and drawings. Our process control skids are designed and built in our own facilities, located in Matthews, North Carolina.

Every custom-built skid is fully and rigorously tested - in our shop - before it ships. This eliminates start-up problems at your location - and gets you up and running faster - with no surprises. We perform all mechanical and electrical fabrication under one roof, which sets us apart from our competitors. Control Panels & Systems Integration

Carotek’s Systems Integration Group can assist you with your next process automation project. We offer complete control system design and fabrication in our 15,000 square foot, dedicated control panel facility. We can fabricate to your design - or our engineering team will assist with a custom design - to meet your unique needs.

Carotek is a UL and CUL authorized shop. We're certified for 508A, Intrinsically Safe 698, and 1203 NEMA7 Explosion proof standards. We are also a member of CSIA, a well-recognized International Organization of Control System Integrators. Watch our video for more details.

Process Equipment Service & Repair

Carotek specializes in process equipment services and repair. We offer service at Carotek’s in-house facility or at your plant. We offer 24/7 field service, mobile calibration, on-site instrumentation calibration services to ISO17025 and A2LA accreditations, shutdowns and startup assistance, authorized pump and blower repair, pump site surveys, valve Automation, Steam system audits and trap surveys.

Process Equipment Training

Carotek offers industry-leading process equipment training classes. Sessions are conducted by industry experts in their fields. Many are training professionals from the equipment manufacturers. Classes are held year 'round - and at our Process Solutions Summit. You can earn professional development hours for instrumentation, valves, steam, and pumps. And we offer customized training for groups.

These convenient sessions include classroom style learning, mixed with hands-on labs in our Process Training Unit. This PTU is a fully-functional, mini-process plant that simulates real-life situations and problems. It has more than 130 instruments, valves and pumps; a distributed control system or DCS; and a batching system. This lab teaches hands-on remote monitoring, process control, and problematic trouble-shooting. Watch our video for more details.

Valve Automation Services

Carotek’s Valve Automation Center designs, builds, and tests assemblies in our facilities - to save you significant time in the field. Each of our pneumatic and electric valve assemblies are functionally tested prior to shipment. We test per your voltage and exact air supply to ensure performance once installed.

All valve assemblies are inspected and verified via the QA check-out form - and every assembly is serialized and tagged before shipment. This helps to identify components for future replacement orders. All work is completed by full-time automation assemblers and specialists. We can build valve systems from one half-inch up to forty-eight inches. And our one-ton crane easily handles larger valves and actuator assemblies. Watch our video for more details.
